Weeks have gone by; Superman has begun training himself again, and his older brother seems to have returned to his normal self.
It's a gray day in Hollywood. It's overcast, and muggy. It does rain in Southern California every once in a while, and it looks and feels like it might begin soon. The older kids arrive home from school in big brother's new car. He got it for his birthday. The youngest is already home and plans are being made for everyone to stay in and enjoy some family time.
An uneventful evening at best, it's dark out, and the family is enjoying being together. They are indulging the youngest by playing games, and discussing pressing issues with Mom and Dad.
The evening continues with the family watching a movie and then retiring to their bedrooms. It's been a nice night, something they haven't remembered doing in quite some time.
It's a little past midnight when they hear the screams. Wind and rain is doing it's best to drown out her cries, but they can be heard. Running out to the foyer, Superman sees his sister dangling precariously from the third floor balcony. The only thing to catch her fall is the marble tile beneath her. She's losing her grasp, and she's screaming to be saved.
Superman's mother is screaming, Dad is on his phone, little brother is crying, and older brother is watching Superman to see what he will do.
So many questions run through everyone's minds, while everyone is shouting and crying and trying to figure out how best to help.
Older brother-Will Superman fly up to save her?
Superman-Will he stand there and do nothing so as to not out himself?
Did older brother set this up? Is it a trap?
Mom and Dad-Who can help? What can be done? Why is the phone not working?
Superman is frantically thinking, sweating, and pacing.
When sister's hand looks as if it can hold her no longer, the lights go out.
More screams can be heard.
The lights come back on in a flash, and sister is on her feet beneath the balcony.
Everyone is astounded.
Again questions run through their heads.
Mom and Dad-How did she land? Is she hurt?
Older brother-How did he save her?! Why do his plans never work?! Will no one ever know what he knows?
Superman-Why didn't I do anything? How could I just stand here? What kind of monster am I?
Before they can rush to sister, she gives a loud purr, stretches and begins to lick her few wounds.
Close-up on her slight feline features lets everyone know she landed on her feet and will always be able to save herself.
Close-up of Superman, face in anguish as he takes off again into the stormy night.
